Gualtiero De Mohàc – 1° Earl of Modica
The Earl Gualtiero De Mohàc was a valorous admiral in the naval expedition against the Epirus and the Egypt, during the kingdom of Ruggero II The Norman, called “Ruggero Il Buono”.
For the credits showed on the battle-field, he obtained the town of Modica as an earldom.
He held different and important appointments, he was executioner of the Val di Noto and customs Master.
He passed his old age in Modica, he was an adventurer.
